PHILOSOPHY OF THE RUTLAND SCHOOL DISTRICT: The Rutland School District believes that we can promote life-long learners. We also encourage academic and social values as well as attitudes to develop strong work ethics, to produce quality work, and motivate students to be responsible,
honest, and self- disciplined. Our school curriculum emphasizes cooperative learning and the team approach
to help each child become successful. We must enhance the skills that permit students to acquire, retain, understand, and apply knowledge and information. The school district promotes a quality education through a collaborative effort of students, parents, faculty, and the community. We believe, above all else, that children are capable of learning and every child can be successful.
