In addition we are very excited about partnering with our local Chamber of Commerce in engaging the entire community in a productive conversation about public education in our community. Hearing from others about what they want for children in our community will help us develop a strategic plan for our district to guide our work. Location:If, as they say, location is everything, then the Alamance-Burlington School System is very fortunate. Our county is located midway between the peaceful Blue Ridge mountains and the beautiful beaches of the Atlantic. The Interstate 85/40 corridor enables easy access to these recreational areas as well as to major colleges and universities, medical centers, and shopping areas. The county has a population of approximately 130, 800. The largest city is Burlington with 44,917 and the county seat is Graham with 12,833
