Finley School District encompasses an area consisting of industrial sites, rich farmland and residences in Benton County. The District is bordered on the north and east by the Columbia River and is adjacent to the City of Kennewick. Kennewick, Pasco and Richland comprise the nearby area of the Tri-Cities. The Finley School District is the hub of the Finley Community and enjoys the strong support of the community. Our mission is to provide a safe, positive learning environment that empowers the whole student to use his or her natural and learned talents to become a productive, responsible member of both the community and world. In collaboration with the entire Finley community, our staff work each day to realize our vision of All Kids Achieving.

Our outstanding teachers and staff are committed to providing your children the best education possible. We believe that all students can achieve in school and graduate prepared for success in post-secondary education, work, and life. To guide and set the vision for our work, the Kennewick School Board has approved a new set of strategic plan goals called “North Star Goals”. These goals set our standards for safety, academics, staff development and fiscal responsibility.

Our mission is to provide a "School District of Choice". What this means is that we will strive to create learning opportunities and options for students that make Ki-Be the district that our parents choose to send their students to. To make this a reality, our School Board has committed to ensuring that our programs and offerings are in line with the needs of our students. Also, the district and the Board have committed to improving student achievement as measured by the state assessments, to the top quartile of schools in the state. Our Board has coined the phrase, "let’s move the dot" which refers to the graph of schools that measures student progress. We are proud of the effort and success of our high school students and staff for the gains they have made in state assessment scores.
