Welcome to Ray Brooks School for the 2011-2012 school year. We hope and trust that this year as a Tiger will prove to be an educationally profitable one for your child. Each school year is a time of change. The work load and social adjustments are greater now than ever before in public education. A highly qualified, caring staff has been assembled to educate your child in the Benoit School District.
For over 100 years, the Cleveland School District has dedicated itself to enhancing our community by transforming the lives of the boys and girls we educate.
This website provides an overview of some of the programs and services that allow us to continue our efforts to educate and empower all children to excel in the 21st century.
The Mound Bayou Public School District salutes our schools for their continued legacy of academic and athletic excellence. Our mission is to provide each student within the Mound Bayou Public School District a quality education that will enhance and further develop his/her character and education potential.
Sunshine and blue skies were in abundance for Salutatorian Cordell Liddell, Valedictorian Jakyra Hicks, and the forty-two other graduates during the Eighth Grade Promotional Exercises at Shelby Middle School early Saturday morning. Graduation speaker Ms. Althea Billings delivered the graduates and all that were assembled a message of taking personal responsibility during high school. One hour later, approximately twenty-five Broad Street High School Jaguars suited up to tangle with the Humphrey County High School Cowboys in a jamboree game at East Side High School. Broad Street High School begins its regular season schedule in late August.
There is no other social issue more important to the future of our community, state, and nation than how well we educate our children. Therefore, we have a tremendous amount of work to accomplish in order to develop into a world-class school district that will serve our students well. The Shaw School District fully embraces the belief that everything is possible with teamwork, dedication, and commitment. It is my hope that each of us will be led by a desire to know what to do and a will to do what we know we must. I am counting on your support as we all work on behalf of our most important investment-our children.
