In operation for 35 years, the Butte County Regional Occupational Program (ROP) is a career technical education program of the Butte County Office of Education. In cooperation with local school districts and the business community, ROP prepares people for work by providing youth and adults with marketable skills, work ethics and job training needed to build and keep a career. ROP has been accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges since 1988.

Golden Feather Union Elementary School District (formed July 1, 1962 by Big Bar, Cherokee, Concow, and Messilla Valley) is a unique entity nestled in the foothills of rural Butte County. Total enrollment is fewer than 150 students. The district is comprised of two schools: Concow Elementary School (Kindergarten through Eighth Grade); and Community Day School. District employees are proud that our staff knows each student!

One of the main objectives of Manzanita is that all students will meet or exceed grade level standards in math, reading and writing.
For the past twelve(12) years, the student body of Manzanita has made more than one year growth in these academic areas as measured by the state of California.
Manzanita has a rich tradition of outstanding student achievement and we provide a sound, standards-based education, as well as developing high moral character of all students. Parent partnership is a high priority and is essential for student success.

The Oroville Union High School District is located in the rural north valley at the base of the Sierra Nevada foothills, about seventy miles north of Sacramento. The district encompasses 723 miles of eastern Butte County. The district has two comprehensive high schools, one continuation school, one community day school and one adult education school. The Butte-Glenn Community College and California State University, Chico are located approximately 25 miles from Oroville.
