ARDMORE
We are a diverse and dynamic learning community. As the largest school in Carter County, we offer a broad range of programs and learning opportunities that are enhanced by strong support from families and the community. Ardmore is nestled at the foot of the Arbuckle Mountains and is surrounded by seven lakes totaling 100,000 acres. Its strategic location on I-35, just 90 miles from either Dallas or Oklahoma City, gives Ardmore a unique market proximity. The advent of the Santa Fe Railroad in 1887 marked the beginning of Ardmore. It was named by Santa Fe Railroad agents after Ardmore, Pennsylvania, which had been named after Ardmore By-the-Sea, Ireland and means “high point” for its lighthouse. On March 11, 1899, Ardmore City Schools held their first Board of Education meeting. After 25 meetings over a period of seven months, Ardmore City Schools opened their doors to students for the first time. The date was September 20, 1899; the place was Indian Territory. Now, over 100 years later, Ardmore City Schools is still going strong. We are proud of our diverse student population of over 3,000 students, which reflects the faces of our great nation. Our mission is to educate all students through an unconditional commitment to quality and high standards.

FOX
The philosophy of Fox Schools is to provide learning opportunities for the development of each student to his/her fullest potential. This is best expressed by promoting academic achievement and positive self-concepts. Students are encouraged to develop and utilize their talents and abilities in an effort to promote their physical and social well-being. Students should develop an appreciation of the democratic ideal with realization and acceptance of their civic responsibilities. Students are given the opportunity to accept individual responsibility, develop self-discipline, and make constructive use of their leisure time. It is expected that students view the school as a supportive and well-organized place in which to work and learn. It is the general belief that when opportunities arise, the school, home, and community should work together in the educational process to create in the student a desire for learning. Emphasis on the necessity of learning in order to cope with the diverse and complex problems of daily living is an important part of the educational process.

SOUTHERN OKLA. TECHNOLOGY CTR
SOTC recognizes that the success of local economic development efforts is directly connected with the area's ability to supply the technically trained workforce required. The center continues to serve both high school students and adults. High school juniors and seniors who are enrolled in full-time day programs spend half of the day at the technology center and the other half at their home high school. At the center, the students participate in a program pertaining to their chosen career field. At the home school, the student continues in academic preparation. Upon graduation, the student is then prepared to enter the world of work, continue in a program of advanced study at the technology center and/or enter college (often with articulated credit hours that are applied to a related college degree). Adult students attend on a half-day basis similar to the schedule available to high school students or they may accelerate their technology education by attending SOTC on an all day basis. The center continues to grow in enrollment and expand program offerings. In addition to full time day programs, SOTC offers additional programs and services to in-district students, employers, and customers that includes adult training and development classes, safety classes and customized business and industry training designed to meet the needs of local employers. The needs of the district continue to be the driving force of SOTC's growth.
