-Number of Nationally Board Certified Teachers has quadrupled since 2010.
-Two schools featured in State Superintendent’s tour of high-poverty, high-performing schools.
-Nationally recognized for implementation of Teacher Advancement Program (TAP) to develop, reward, and retain excellent teachers.
-22% increase in district performance score from 2007 to 2011, in the top fifth of districts statewide and more growth than any neighboring school system.
Building Innovators
-Jackson Elementary School Improvement Grant plan ranked #1 statewide, Clinton Elementary ranked #2.
-Value-Added pilot district.
-Two faculty members awarded Quality Science and Math (QSM) grants in 2010.
-State finalist for district Striving Readers Comprehensive Literacy (SRCL) grant.
-Faculty presented at state Louisiana Association of Computer Using Educators (LACUE) conference.
Building Citizens
-Host of Rice University Alternative Spring Break (ASB) trip in 2011 and 2012.
