Curlew School is located in Curlew, Washington. We are a small unincorporated town in northeast section of the state and we are about ten miles from the Canadian border. Our school site houses all students from grades Pre-school through 12th grade. Our enrollment averages about 200 students. Main employers of our area are involved in mining, logging, the school, and a Job Corp center. Our area has great fishing and hunting, as well as snowmobiling and cross-country skiing in the winter months. In sports our mascot is the Cougar. We belong to District 7 of our state structured WIAA organization and are a member of the Northeast 1B league which features twelve schools. Our classification is "1B". Classifications are figured by number of students in grades 10-12. Our Mission Statement: Students achieving their highest potential.
We are located on the Colville Indian Reservation in northeastern Washington. Our school is surrounded by mountains as well as the Columbia River, the portion also known as Lake Roosevelt. Inchelium is a rural community approximately 90 miles north of Spokane, WA. Currently we serve 200 students in our K - 12 school.
