Nashua is a vibrant city, and the Nashua School District is a vibrant community of learners. The quality of education in Nashua rests on a strong foundation of caring, dedicated and talented staff; a history of innovation and the desire to constantly improve teaching; an engaged and supportive community; and a student body rich in diversity. There are exceptional educational resources in Nashua. We offer more Advanced Placement courses than any other school district in New Hampshire. Every high school student has the opportunity to enroll in one of 19 hands-on, state-of-the-art career and technical education programs at both of our comprehensive high schools. Our middle school students benefit from a District-wide, student-centered philosophy of teaching that utilizes teaming of teachers with common planning time and teacher-led advisories. Our youngest learners benefit from neighborhood elementary schools that cater to building a sense of community and a focus on strong, fundamental early childhood education. Our parents and the community at-large are vital to our success. In fact, more than 250 invested stakeholders recently participated in 20 focus groups integral to the development of our five-year strategic plan. We are strengthened by their vested commitment to our City's youth, which brings me back to my opening comment, recognizing again the important, collective mission of our work... Ensuring Academic Success for Each Student.I am proud of the role Nashua's public schools play in making our City a great place to live, to raise a family, and to educate our schoolchildren.
