At Carbondale Community High School we pride ourselves in providing our students with an outstanding academic, athletic, and fine arts experience. Welcome to the website of Carbondale Elementary School District 95. The district has an enrollment of approximately 1400 students served by 125 highly qualified teachers and 40 support staff. Carbondale Elementary School District 95 offers its students the opportunity to learn several foreign languages beginning at grade four. Instrumental and vocal music training is available beginning at grade four, while violin instruction is offered at grade two. The district's curriculum is completely aligned to the Illinois Learning Standards in all core areas.

DeSoto Grade School provides opportunities and resources for every child to fulfill his/her potential of becoming a life-long learner and a productive member of school and society. The school facilitates this process by providing a safe environment, positive learning of self-esteem, and community interaction and support.
Tri-County Special Education is actually an agreement among all the school districts in Jackson, Perry, and Union Counties, that Tri-County (TCSE) is responsible for assuring that all exceptional children, ages 3-21, receive a free and appropriate education. Tri-County provides assistance to all the districts in the following areas:

A full continuum of special education options are available to children with special needs, ranging from consultation with regular classroom teachers, to partial day resource assistance in the local school to special full-time classes. Additonal related services, such as speech and language therapy, physical and occupational therapy, counseling, and vision/hearing services may also be provided as educationally appropriate.
