The goal of the district, working in cooperation with staff, parents and community members, is to provide a district that, through the following characteristics: 1. Provides equal and open access and educational opportunities for all students regardless of their culture geographic location, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, marital status, age, or disability; 2. Assumes that all students can learn and establishes high, specific skill and knowledge expectations and recognizes individual differences at all instructional levels; 3. Provides special education, compensatory education, linguistically and culturally appropriate education and other specialized programs to all students who need those services; 4. Provides students with a solid foundation in the skills of reading, writing, problem solving and communication; 5. Provides opportunities for students to learn, think, reason, retrieve information, use technology and work effectively alone and in groups; 6. Provides for acquiring the knowledge and skills of the student’s current grade level and instruction in mathematics, science, English, history, geography, economics, civics, physical education, health, the arts and second languages; 7. Provides students an educational background to the end that they will function successfully in a constitutional republic, a participatory democracy and a multicultural nation and world; 8. Provides students with the knowledge and skills that will provide the opportunities to succeed in the world of work, as members of families and as citizens; 9. Provides students with the knowledge, skills and positive attitude that lead to an active, healthy lifestyle; 10. Provides students with the knowledge and skills to take responsibility for their decisions and choices; 11. Provides opportunities for students to learn through a variety of teaching strategies; 12. Emphasizes the involvement of parents and the community in the total education of students; 13. Transports students safely to and from school; 14. Ensures that the funds allocated to schools reflect the uncontrollable differences in costs facing each district; 15. Ensures that local schools have adequate control of how funds are spent to best meet the needs of students in their communities; 16. Provides for a safe, educational environment; 17. Supports students’ academic growth beyond proficiency in academic content standards and encourages their attainment of individual goals; 18. Supports the physical and cognitive growth and development of students; 19. Provides for increased learning time; and 20. Utilizes valid and reliable data for evaluating the success of curriculum, instruction, resource allocation and school improvement.
Lake County ESD serves five school districts, 165 staff and 1100 students in all of Lake County’s communities. Lake County encompasses an 8,300square-mile geographic area. As a responsible partner, we provide services and leadership to optimize educational opportunities for the children, schools and communities we serve. Governed by a seven-member Board of Directors and staffed by approximately 15employees, our agency brings the cooperative benefits of "The Regional Advantage" to every student, teacher, administrator and resident of our service area every day.

It is the goal of the Paisley School District Board and staff to educate well rounded students prepared to achieve their lifelong goals and a diploma by graduation.
The Plush School District consists of 1 elementary school, Plush Elementary School. The Plush school uses materials that are aligned with Oregon curriculum requirements. Students have access to technology through computers in classrooms, the internet, a smart board and digital cameras. Visual and performing arts curriculum are enriched by artists in residency programs.
