AP stands for Advanced Placement and may also be called an Honors class. Students who are interested in continuing their education past high school or who are interested in obtaining a higher level of learning.

In 1973, Elwood Community High School
was opened just north of the vocational
school. With a new high school, the junior
high school moved from the old central
building into the Wendell L. Willkie building
and the old Central building was closed.

Frankton-Lapel Community Schools offers a wide variety of curricular and extra-curricular programs, and delivers those programs by a stellar staff with a student-centered focus. South Madison Community School Corporation (SMCSC) is located in southern Madison County in Pendleton, Indiana, which has a population of approximately 20,000. Four communities, with a total land area of approximately 112 square miles, comprise South Madison School Corporation: Ingalls (Green Township), Markleville (Adams Township), and Pendleton/Huntsville (Fall Creek Township).
