The mission of North Miami Elementary School is to prepare,inspire, and challenge our students to become successful,contributing citizens of the world. The mission of North Miami Middle/High School is to establish a learning community that fosters excellence and teaches students essential skills needed for an ever-changing future.
The Peru Community School Corporation has a gifted and talented program called L.I.F.T. (Learning Incentives for Tomorrow). As the name implies, the purpose is to provide identified exceptional students with the opportunity to obtain and improve academic and creative skills. The elementary program consists of a grades K-3 pull out program with enrichment activities through the social studies and science curriculum. At Blair Pointe School there are three self-contained classes. At the junior high, the program consists of acelerated offerings in mathematics and language arts. Advanced Placement and Honors opportunities exist at the high school in various academic areas.
