Northeast Technology Center (NTC) is the # 1 place for career training in Northeast Oklahoma. With four campuses in Afton, Claremore, Kansas, and Pryor, we have locations all around our district. Northeast Technology Center (formerly “Northeast Area Vocational-Technical School District Number Eleven”) was formed by a majority vote of the people of Mayes, Craig, Rogers and Ottawa counties on February 4, 1969. The first school board was comprised of Dave Huchison, Carl Mustain, Samuel Victor, Ralph Boatright, and Jack Kissee. Earl Kelly was hired to become the first superintendent of the district, and offices were established at 122 South Scraper in Vinita. Today, NTC serves students across eight counties with its four campuses in Afton, Claremore, Kansas, and Pryor. Each year, NTC trains over 1,200+ students in its full time daytime programs. Through NTC’s Business & Industry Services, along with short term night and weekend classes, almost 20,000 additional students train through NTC.

We believe that the Turkey Ford School District should provide quality educational experiences for all students of system. These experiences should prepare students for productive and fulfilling lives by providing for intellectual, social, and personal development. We recognize that is not the exclusive responsibility of the public school, but is more successful when parents and community work together with the school in a joint effort. Our ultimate goal is to develop responsible citizens capable of reaching their potential in a changing society. We're prepared to meet the educational needs of all elementary children.
