Crowder School is a K-12 Class "2A" school. It is located in southeastern Oklahoma approximately 15 miles north of McAlester on State Highway 69. The number one priority of the Crowder Public School system is to provide a quality education for all students. A certified staff of 40 is employed to serve approximately 450 students enrolled. This allows for small classes with emphasis on time for individual needs in instruction. The main campus encompasses over two city blocks that houses grades EC-12. There are some 40 classrooms, a cafeteria, library, two gymnasiums, and a fenced-in playground. There is a student parking lot and ample parking for staff members and visitors. The Early Childhood facility is separate from the main campus and has a spacious fenced-in playground.
Our staff, from the central office to classroom teachers, those who take care of the campus, and those who feed and drive our children to school are dedicated to continuing the tradition of quality education to the children of Hartshorne.
The mission of Indianola Public Schools is based on the concept that the school exists for the development of the individual student; mentally, physically and spiritually, so that he/she might make a contribution to society. We are to educate the whole child so that he/she will attain the highest possible level of mental, academic, and moral growth. The school must teach students to understand and appreciate the traditions of democracy, develop qualities of self-control, self-direction; and to be able to work in cooperative endeavors. Students will have an academic understanding of reading, writing, speaking, listening, mathematics, science and computers to prepare for their future endeavors. We are to convey the acceptance of all-- regardless of race, color, gender, creed or national origin; and to provide a climate which promotes a sense of fair play, honesty, integrity, civic duty and cooperation. All students will develop critical thinking, independent reasoning and be responsive to the needs of a changing society. Indianola Public Schools is to guide and instruct students in the quest for knowledge; and to develop the capacity to assume responsibility after they leave Indianola Public Schools.

Kiowa Public Schools is dedicated to serving all children, because all children can learn and be, in their own manner, a crucial part of society. This school has been in the education business since 1872 and many children, parents, teachers, administrators, and Boards of Educations have come and gone; but the entity itself still stands as the foundation of learning and success today. At Kiowa Public School we believe that the key to successfully educating children is "motivation." A motivated child is one whose appetite has been whetted and will learn forever.
