We believe all people in our schools have a right to learn and can learn at different levels and rates. We believe learning is the responsibility of the total school community. We believe our school should promote a caring, cooperative and challenging environment conducive to learning for each individual.
New Harmony School is located in historic New Harmony, Indiana, which is in extreme southwestern Indiana, just 20 miles west of Evansville. We take pride in the fact that we are one of the smallest school districts in the state of Indiana, serving all grades pre-school through twelve with an enrollment around 200 students. New Harmony School is one of the few remaining Kindergarten through Grade 12 schools in the state. The hard work, dedication, and support of the community and staff have allowed the school to offer an individualized education for each of our students. New Harmony is fortunate to be Indiana’s first 1:1 computer high school. The entire high school attends the Presidential Inauguration every four years. Our school is proud to have a Pulitzer Prize Winner as an alumnus, and has been named a 4-Star School for the fifth time in 2010 by the Indiana Department of Education.
