The Center Schools Community seeks to develop independent, self directed, self motivated, adventurous, risk taking, experiential learners armed with the skills necessary to meet the challenges they will face in the 21st Century.
Delivering on our commitment:
The District ,through a partnership between staff,
parents, community members and the School Board,
have developed clear goals and plans for delivering on
our commitment to the District’s ends policies. We have
focused on developing four key tenets (key ideas or
areas) we believe will help us focus on and obtain the
high standards put forth by the Board of Education.
Mountain Valley School District Re-1 is located in the town of Saguache in Saguache County, Colorado. The District provides education for Pre-Kindergarten through twelfth grade with a current enrollment of 119 students. Mountain Valley School District adopted the following mission statement in 1997: “Our mission is to produce self-directed individuals who enjoy seeking, evaluating, and utilizing knowledge to identify and solve problems, who confidently take risks and experiment and who are responsible contributors to their community.
