Our patient care mission encompasses serving as an accessible, high quality, safety focused, comprehensive care provider for all the people of Bernalillo County, and providing specialized services for people across the State.Our education mission focuses on creating a patient care environment which is supportive of the educational programs of the UNMHSC health professional schools.Our research mission focuses on the application of new biomedical knowledge, translated to innovative patient care programs and models of health care delivery, leading to health status improvement for New Mexico.

The decade old Santa Fe Regional Juvenile Justice Board (SFRJJB) is served by community members from diverse backgrounds who are appointed by the Mayor and City Council. Program planning, service integration, data analysis and program evaluations are the primary functions of the Board to address youth issues ina comprehensive and coordinated manner. The Board is one of twelve "Continuum Sites" from around the state and is funded by the New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department (CYFD). The Continuum Sites provide their respective communities with Alternatives to Detention Initiatives and/or Youth At-Risk services.

As a School, we provide a bilingual (American Sign Language and English) learning environment that includes direct, ongoing access to communication and language in and out of the classroom with both peers and adults. Deaf/hard of hearing students are interactive learners who receive high quality, standards-based instruction and multiple opportunities to participate in extra-curricular activities.
