Located in north-central Indiana, South Bend Community School Corporation is St. Joseph County's oldest and largest school corporation, and the fourth largest in Indiana. We have 34 school buildings and six support facilities in a geographical area covering 160 square miles. We serve traditional k-12 students, special-needs students from preschool through age 22, and a large number of adult students. As the adult education center for St. Joseph County, the school corporation annually grants more GEDs than any other testing site in the state.
LaVille Jr.-Sr. High School is located in northern Indiana
along U.S. Highway 31 between South Bend and Plymouth. It is part of the Union-North United School Corporation. The school corporation is comprised of North
Township in Marshall County and Union Township in St.
Joseph County. The towns of Lakeville and LaPaz are
the main population centers.
LaVille is a comprehensive, public six-year junior and
senior high school with grades seven through twelve. It
has an enrollment of approximately 560 students. Minorities compose about eight percent of the student
body. LaVille is accredited by the State of Indiana.
LaVille’s school year is divided into two eighteen-week
semesters and four nine-week grading periods. Class
periods are 50 minutes long, and there are seven
periods to the school day. The student-faculty ratio is 16
to one. The majority of LaVille faculty hold graduate
degrees.
Veritas Academy was established in 1996 as a K-12 classical Christian school in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and is a charter member of the Association of Classical and Christian Schools (ACCS).
