We are proud of our Chewelah School District and its programs! Our district is comprised of approximately 850 students. With prudent fiscal management and a dedicated staff, we offer small class sizes that are focused on increased student learning. Our awards and student test scores are just one of the many opportunities for students to find success in the Chewelah School District.

Last year was another award winning year for the Kettle Falls School District. The Middle School was named “School of Distinction” and given an “Overall Achievement Award” by the State School Board. All of our buildings have now been honored with an Overall Achievement Award within the last three years. The High School earned the highest rating of “Exemplary” rating from the State Board as well. Our Elementary School was named a national model by Expeditionary Learning. This distinction includes a $50,000 grant for professional development. The awards are based on graduation rate, high stakes test scores, and closing the achievement gap.

We are located in Springdale, Washington, a rural community in the northeast part of the State. Our district consists of 6 schools: Springdale Elementary, Springdale Middle School, Mary Walker High School, Mary Walker Alternative High School, Mary Walker Parent Partnership, and Springdale Academy. Our vision is to prepare all students for learning at the post-secondary level.

Northport is a rural district, of an average of 200 students. Although we are remote from population centers, our public schools are innovative. Our single P-12 campus offers smaller than average class sizes, opportunities for cross-age tutoring, integrated P-12 curricula and collegial sharing among staff. The district campus includes two schools (P-8 and 9-12) as well as a shop complex, a computer lab, special education suite and a gymnasium. The district employs 43 full and part-time people including 16 teachers, 1 administrator, 1 administrative assistant, and 26 support staff as well as a part-time psychologist, counselor, nurse, physical therapist, and speech and language pathologist. Onion Creek School District #30 is located in a very rural northern section of Stevens County, Washington. We are proud of our rural setting and use our environment for learning purposes. Attendance at Onion Creek School generally ranges between 30 and 50 students a year. We often offer a 13:1 student-to-teacher ratio. We are located about 70 miles north of Spokane, Washington in a rural area of Stevens County. British Columbia is 40 miles to the north and the Columbia River is just 15 miles over the Addy Gifford Summit. Our small district houses one school educating 80 students in grades Preschool through 8th grade. The classrooms are multi-grade (pre-K/K, 1-2, 3-5, 6-8) incorporating the diverse talents of an incredible staff. We have the pleasure of educating the most amazing students. The mission of Summit Valley School District is to provide a program of academic excellence that assures all students will acquire knowledge, skills, and work habits to become productive, creative members of society. We strive to accomplish our mission by maintaining high academic expectations for all students in a positive and safe learning environment. The mission of Valley School District is to provide a positive educational experience which will assist all students in developing skills, competencies and attitudes that are fundamental to being a contributing and responsible citizen. The school promotes effective skills by: 1) ensuring that student acquisition of the basic skills takes priority over other school activities, and 2) providing appropriate facilities and a staff with high expectations who will encourage students to reach their highest level of achievement, and 3) encouraging family and community involvement in the educational process.

The Wellpinit School District serves all students on the Spokane Indian Reservation. Our student body of about 570 enjoys one of the most technologically advanced schools in Eastern Washington. We take pride in keeping our students up-to-date with the latest advancements in education and technology. For example, our high school is home to about 80 students. Wellpinit High School boasts a brand new science lab with state-of-the-art equipment. The classroom includes a Mac book cart with 20 computers, Vernier Probeware, and biotechnology equipment.
