Corning High School is the only comprehensive 9-12 site in the city of Corning. CUHS is situated in a small agriculturally-based community. Our mission is to advance and support student achievement in a safe learning environment. We maintain a closed campus in an effort to promote this mission. We promote student involvement in a variety of activities on our campus in addition to developing good citizens and lifelong learners. Our teachers and staff are committed to students and to making our school a positive place to learn and work.
-
Our vision statement is "All Children Can Learn and We Make the Difference." What we mean by this is that every student is capable of learning, but it is the responsibility of the school system to ensure that the student has that opportunity to realize his/her potential and that we never give up until we find the right combination for learning to take place. In short, that is the reason that we are in the business. Our success or failure is measured by student learning.
