Douglas City is located near the Trinity River on Highway 299w 7 miles east of Weaverville. The original Douglas City School was a one room K-8th grade school with one teacher. The exact location of this school is unknown, but it was on the bluff above Douglas City. The second Douglas City School was built in 1946.

We are located in the small mountain town of Junction City in Trinity County, California. We are nestled at the base of the beautiful Trinity Alps Wilderness, along ten acres of the Trinity River. We are a small, one-school district serving about 90 kids in grades K-8. We are excited about our dynamic learning community, and look forward to sharing it with you!
