Pixley Union School District is located in Pixley, California (population 2,987), Tulare County, in the southern San Joaquin Valley of California's Central Valley, one of the world's richest agricultural areas. Pixley's vast agriculture industry of farms, orchards and dairies utilizes the latest production technologies and provides most of the local employment for residents.
The District is increasing in enrollment and currently has 1,045 students enrolled in two schools. Pixley Elementary School has 712 students. In the fall of 2010 Pixley Middle School opened a new campus adjacent to the elementary school and serves 333 students.

Richgrove Elementary School District is located in a small, unincorporated community in Southern Tulare County. We recently acknowledged 48 of our employees who had between 10 and 31 years of service to our students! This fact speaks of the commitment and the caring atmosphere that exists in Richgrove. Our Board of Trustees and I are proud of our staff. Our collective efforts continue to focus on academic achievement for all the children placed under our guidance. The Tulare County Organization for Vocational Education (TCOVE) is a Joint Powers Regional Occupation Program (ROP) that operates in all eleven high schools and unified school districts within Tulare County. The organization of TCOVE ROP was formalized by the creation of a Joint Powers Agreement (JPA) and has operated as one of 73 ROP’s statewide sense inception in 1969.

We are a growing school district that is currently serving over 5000 students within our three comprehensive high schools, alternative education programs, and adult education programs. Last June, teachers and administrators attended a very inspiring two-day event, Pyramid Response to Intervention, presented by author and educator Mike Mattos. His message was really very simple…our mission is to “assure learning at high levels for all students.” It was not a new message, but Mike did challenge our belief system about teaching and learning.
