A variety of implementation activities to address these goals are identified annually based on data gathered from needs assessments completed by staff, students, parents, and community members; student attendance and achievement data; and other data gathered quarterly by the Schoolwide Improvement Committee. Additionally, the Tunica County School District partners with Head Start in an effort to better address the early childhood needs of pre-school children. Head Start is designed to foster healthy development in low-income children by delivering a range of services that are responsive and appropriate to each child's and each family's heritage and experience. These services encompass all aspects of a child's development and learning.
