LAKE CITY PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT
Lake City Staff and Parents The Lake City Education Foundation (LCEF) was established in 1999 as a way to partner with the greater community to enhance educational opportunities for students in our schools. The LCEF holds various annual fundraisers to earn money to support student opportunities that would not otherwise happen. Recently, funds have helped support the fourth grade trip to Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center, the sixth grade Leadership Retreat, a Bald Eagle presentation, the Jack Peel Native American presentation, Physics Day at Valley Fair, First Robotics State Competition, and the list goes on. Last year, the LCEF was able to donate almost $21,000 to our schools, and we are on track to match this amount again this year -- but we need your help. The Lake City Education Foundation is holding a "Dinner and Cruise" fundraiser on Thursday, August 9th. A steak dinner will be served at Hok-Si-La Park at 6:30 PM. Following dinner, guests will board the "Pearl of the Lake" paddle boat for an hour long cruise of Lake Pepin. To add to the festivities, a silent auction will take place during the meal and music will be provided by Mr. Paul Holland and Stephanie Joslyn during the boat excursion. Tickets cost only $40. The maximum number of people is 115, so please see a LCEF Board member soon if you'd like to purchase a ticket: Craig Junker, Becky Reich, Kathie Durand, Daria Dalager, Ben Boege, Diane Spence, Billie Renelt,Marla Hubbard, Dan Coyle, John Falvey, Diane Warthen, Cindy Craig, or Heath Oeltjen. You are always welcome to contact the District Office, as well: 651-345-2198. On behalf of our students and staff and Lake City Education Foundation, thank you for your support of our students.
