The Carlisle Community School District, located just southeast of Des Moines, is a rapidly-growing district that includes the cities of Carlisle, Hartford, Avon Lake, and a portion of southeast Des Moines.
The district enrolls approximately 2,000 students in four schools. Carlisle High School is a class 3-A high school serving students in grades 9-12. Carlisle Middle School, which was built in 2007, serves grades 6-8. Hartford Upper Elementary, the only school not located within Carlisle itself, serves students in grades 4 and 5. Carlisle Elementary School, which is immediately adjacent to the high school and the district office, serves students from pre-kindergarten to grade 3.

The Indianola Community School District serves more than 3,200 students from pre-kindergarten through senior high in six attendance centers. The district covers 155 square miles within Warren County and is governed by a seven-member Board of Directors.

The Norwalk School District is located in Warren County, Iowa. Located in the area are several opportunities for higher and continuing education.
The Des Moines Area Community College, American Institute of Business, Grandview College, Simpson College, are all minutes from Norwalk.
Norwalk maintains five facilities Oviatt Elementary (PreK-3), Lakewood (4-5), Middle School (6-7), Eastview (8-9), and Norwalk High School (9-12). Norwalk Schools serves approximately 2500 students each school year.
