Banks School District is located approximately 25 miles west of Portland along Highways 6 and 26. Banks, Oregon is a rural district that stretches 20 miles from east to west and approximately 18 miles north to south and represents 450 square miles. Most of the land is either farm land or forest land. The town of Banks, with a population of 1400, is the only town of size in the district. Because of the large district size, approximately 95% of the students are bused. Gaston School District is a public school located in the town of Gaston, Oregon on the southwest edge of Washington County. There are 475 students in grades kindergarten through twelfth located on one campus with multiple buildings. Gaston students are nurtured and encouraged by 75 caring administrators, teachers, teaching aides, bus drivers, and support personnel working for the district.
