Our dedicated staff of seven classroom teachers and support staff of eleven welcome our students daily for quality instruction and direction to meet the diverse learning needs of our 63 students. Our on-campus boarding residence for high school students brings a unique flavor to the school. With international exchange students from eight countries plus a mix of students from across the nation, the "dorm" students bring their worldly perspectives to our small town in Central Oregon.

The district is a unified school district with a current enrollment of 44 students, kindergarten through 12th grade. The campus includes five separate buildings with three containing classrooms: one houses K-3 and 4-7, one houses 8-12, and the central services building contains the administration offices, café’, library, and media center. Adjacent to these three buildings are a separate woodshop and a gym. The district employs seven teachers, two instructional assistants, and one administrator. The district operates a dorm for high school students which have been predominately exchange students. Located across the street from the school, the dorm has a capacity for six students. The Spray School District offers a strong academic and activities program for all students. We maintiain updated technology and a variety of distance education offerings. Life in a small school means increased opportunities to learn and engage in athletics and activities. Class size is 6-10 students with elective classes having smaller numbers. High school 10th – 12th grades are able to participate in our Early College program. Students who qualify can earn an Oregon transfer degree through our affiliation with Columbia Gorge Community College. We have a middle school and high school athletic and activities program providing football, volleyball, basketball and track. A high percentage of graduates go on to post secondary programs upon high school graduation. Our mission is to Engage, Challenge and Prepare our students for the next step in Life! Our staff is committed to doing whatever it takes for our students to be successful.
