About School District: The Franklin Township Community School Corporation is located in the southeast corner of Marion County, Indiana. We are a growing residential suburban area of Indianapolis. Our six elementary schools (Kindergarten-5th grade), two middle schools (6th-8th grade), and high school (9th-12th grade) were recognized in 2010 as the Lugar Education Patriot Award winners. Senator Dick Lugar and Indiana Superintendent of Public Instruction Dr. Tony Bennett selected our schools for this top honor for demonstrating, “leadership and initiative in improving the academic achievement and career preparation of Indiana students.” By focusing on each individual student, we are making extraordinary gains as a school district.
