ALGONAC COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT
About School District: The Michigan Department of Education released the Top-to-Bottom rankings of Michigan schools last week. Fair Haven Elementary is being recognized as a “Reward School” for being in the top 5 percent of schools making gains in student achievement.Algonac High School and Algonac Elementary School made some really nice gains in the rankings as well. Algonquin Middle School and Millside Elementary School declined in their rankings due to the “gap” between the highest achieving students and lowest achieving students. New interventions will be targeted at our lowest achieving students in an attempt to close the gap.
