CARSONVILLE-PORT SANILAC SCHOOL DISTRICT - Michigan School District

About School District: The Carsonville-Port Sanilac School District includes the agricultural community of Carsonville, the resort village of Port Sanilac, 112 square miles of farmland located within six Sanilac County Townships, and ten miles of residential frontage on Lake Huron. Although the district includes excellent recreational and shopping facilities, residents are only 45 minutes from Port Huron and Sarnia (Ontario), 60 minutes from Saginaw, and 90 minutes from suburban Detroit. The current high school, which houses grades 7-12, was first occupied in October 1975. The 65,000 square foot structure is one of the better equipped smaller high schools in the Michigan "Thumb" area. The elementary building was constructed in the 1950's and 1960's, with a new addition, library-I.M.C., and many renovations completed in 1991. In 2001, a early education wing was added to the elementary building and major facility improvements including modern technology infrastructure were made in both buildings
