About School District: Our Mission :The mission of The Magellan Charter School is to provide a challenging intellectual journey for highly motivated students.Magellan was founded on the premise that learning is a dynamic process that is on-going, interactive, and fun. We wanted this place called "school" to be filled with a flurry of purposeful activity and challenging thought, a place where students are enlivened by a desire to learn, and where exceptional teachers bring content to life, skillfully showing how what students learn has meaning and application in the real world.Each year, our eighth graders lead us in our “Campaign for Character.” They select and model seven character traits on which they believe we should focus. Every month they lead us in an assembly that teaches about good character and recognizes students who exemplify the previous month’s trait. We are excited about this year’s campaign and very proud of our eighth graders for their commitment to this program! This year our eighth graders are encouraging us to be: Respectful, Kind, Inclusive, Responsible, Trustworthy, Encouraging, and Courageous.
