About School District: The Warren School is a public elementary school in Warren, Vermont. Constructed in 1972 and enlarged in 1980 (and again in 2012), the school was designed to be home-like. The 2012-2013 fall enrollment was 191 students, with an average K-6 class size of 17. There are pre-school classes for 3 and 4-year-olds, and the Kindergarten program is full-day. The curriculum provides each student with instruction in art, music, physical education, and technology and library skills. French is taught in grades K-6. Support staff in cludes a Nurse, School Counselor, Technology Coordinator and Librarian, all of whom are part-time, a full-time Speech/Language Therapist, and 2.8 Learning Support teachers (Special Education, Remedial and Title 1). Daily after-school childcare is available at a moderate fee, and from time-to-time, after-school enrichment and recreation programs are offered. In winter, children in grades K-6 go skiing or snowboarding on Friday afternoons; primary students have swimming lessons in May. The school operates its own buses, and breakfast and lunch programs.
