About School District: Massanutten Regional Governor's School opened in the fall of 2005 and is one of 19 Academic-Year Governor's Schools in the state of Virginia. The mission at Massanutten Regional Governor’s School is to provide an integrated and enriched research-based curriculum to highly motivated and intellectually gifted students based on environmental science and technology. At MRGS we believe that our students are our program and that the education we provide has the potential to benefit not only our students as individuals but society as a whole.
