About School District: Inver Grove Heights is situated on the west bank of the Mississippi River, just 10 minutes south of St. Paul and 15 minutes from the Mall of America and Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. The city is home to approximately 30,000 residents and is expected to reach a population of 44,000 by 2020. There are plenty of exciting activities for families to participate in throughout the year. Inver Grove Heights residents have access to two beautiful golf courses within the city limits. Residents have many opportunities to enjoy the fresh air at one of Inver Grove Heights' many parks. Historic Cahill Avenue is a destination for community members in early September, as residents gather to celebrate Inver Grove Heights Days. The city has seen many new restaurants and other commercial business pop up within the last 10 years, many of which are located near Highway 52 and Upper 55th Street, as well as Highway 52 and Concord Boulevard. Inver Hills Community College is just down the road from Simley High School. Many students take advantage of the close proximity to the college and enroll in PSEO courses to gain college credit.
