About School District: Willow River is located 1 hour south of Duluth and 1 1/2 hours north of the Twin Cities along I-35. Our schools focus on setting high standards for students' success in academics, athletics, and community service. We work to accomplish this through providing opportunities for students to learn ideas, lessons, and technology skills that will help them to become better citizens and workers, from Kindergarten through graduation. Because of these opportunities we have become an area leader and are experiencing increasing enrollment from students and families that want a small school atmosphere with a larger school's advantages.
