EDUCATIONAL PHILOSOPHY: The District will provide an educational environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional growth of each of its students. In this environment the students are encouraged and guided in the development of academic, vocational, and social skills, which will enable them to function effectively in society. Through this process of educational growth, the students learn basic life patterns, develop a sense of responsibility and respect, discover and develop latent aptitudes and abilities, and become familiar with values, mores, and concepts appropriate to the society in which they live. From this process, students should develop selfreliance, integrity, moral values, and discipline. They should acquire communicative skills and develop historical perspectives, which foster self-understanding and an appreciation of all cultures. Effort is made to foster an atmosphere of security, which cultivates purposes and interests leading to a worthwhile and satisfying life. Adaptation of materials, activities, and instruction provides opportunity for students of varying abilities, interests, needs, and economic backgrounds to experience success. The District shall be organized and operated so that the public, the students, and District personnel will accept and support its objectives and programs. The District will occupy a position of public trust and will share with the parents and the community the responsibility for molding students into useful, self supporting, and productive citizens.
