Lamesa ISD strives for Excellence in Education. Our administrators, teachers, and staff work diligently on a daily basis to develop the intellects of our students, and our school and community work to insure that our schools are modern, safe, and clean. The Lamesa Independent School District will marshal human, instructional, and financial resources to create, maintain, and continually reinforce a safe, orderly, disciplined educational environment where: Students are educated according to Texas and Federal mandates, and students are developed to reach their individual potential—academically, socially, and civically.

Sands CISD covers 218 square miles and is located in portions of Borden County, Dawson County, Howard County and Martin County. The campus is located in Dawson County, Ackerly TX. Sands CISD is a pre-K through 12 facility under one roof. The district is proud of its excellent academic, agriculture and athletic reputation. Enrollment ranges from 190 to 235. The district has 46 employees. All seven board members are elected at large. Mission Statement: The Sands educational system is committed to providing opportunities for all students so that they may be prepared to participate as responsible citizens in an ever-changing society. We are convinced that all students can maintain a measure of success. We pledge to provide for their development—mentally, physically, emotionally, and socially—to assure their success in tomorrow’s world.
