Dew ISD serves between 145 and 175 students each year in grades Pre-Kindergarten through eighth grade. The ethnic breakdown of the student enrollment is 86% White, 10% Hispanic, 2% Asian or Pacific Islander, and 2% African American. Approximately 36% of the student body is identified as economically disadvantaged. The District also provides transportation for approximately 35 students in grades 9-12 to attend either Teague ISD or Fairfield ISD. The mission at Dew Independent School District is to provide a quality education for all students in a safe environment.

"The Mission of Fairfield Independent School District is to educate all children attending our school. All students will develop essential skills and a knowledge base on which to build lifelong learning." FISD encompasses an area of 456 square miles in Freestone and Navarro counties with approximately 1,725 students in EE-12. The school district is fully accredited by the Texas Education Agency. The curriculum is designed to meet the needs of all students with the latest in instructional technology available at each grade level. FISD offers above state base pay for teachers with a bachelor's degree or a master's degree plus partial insurance benefits. Currently, FISD employs 292 employees. Fairfield I.S.D. offers career and technology programs in vocational agriculture, home economics, business computer information systems, tech prep, and diversified career prep. Admission to these programs is based on interest, aptitude, age appropriateness, and class space available.

The mission of the Teague ISD is to educate to the fullest extent possible all children attending our schools. We will strive to do this through quality of instruction, equity for all students, and accountability and improvement of our instruction. All students will develop essential academic skills and knowledge based on which to build life-long learning. Citizenship, economic responsibilities, and an appreciation of our American heritage, including its multicultural richness, are important factors in the education of our children. All facets of the TISD education community will seek continual improvement in our educational endeavors.
