Marion Independent School District contains an area of 80.38 square miles located in Guadalupe County in South Central Texas. The mission of the Marion Independent School District, as the primary source for public education is to prepare graduates to be responsible, productive citizens in a diverse and changing world, through partnerships with parents and community, by providing opportunities to achieve excellence and personal growth.
We are a TEA Recognized district (last rated in 2011), working toward the highest new rating under a still-undetermined state accountability plan. Our student body is diverse in terms of ethnicity and family income, but united by high expectations for achievement and citizenship. This 3A school district in rural Guadalupe County just south of Geronimo and just north of Seguin still offers its students the kind of academic and extracurricular support that may be lost in larger settings, and neighbors still look out for one-another’s kids. Because all four of our campuses cluster around the intersection of SH 123 N and Link Road, our high school students can walk to the elementary school to read to the little ones and our teachers can communicate across the grade levels with ease.

The district now serves over 13,500 students living in the Schertz, Cibolo, Universal City, Selma, Converse, St. Hedwig and occasionally Randolph Air Force Base areas. Mission Statement: Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City ISD provides a safe, secure and challenging learning environment, through the responsible use of all resources, to afford opportunities for all students to realize their individual potential and to become responsible and productive members of society.
