The Indian Lake Central School will provide an academic environment rich in practical and cultural experiences that addresses the mental and physical needs of each student and will inspire: self sufficiency, lifelong learning, creativity, responsibility, and citizenship within our Adirondack environment and beyond.
The pages on this site were created in an effort to educate students across the curriculum. With the guidance of Mr. Swift (Computer), Mr. Marshall (English), and Mr. Virgil (History), the eighth-grade students at Lake Pleasant Central School researched and wrote about specific topics as they relate to the history of our area. Students obtained their information through books, the internet, and interviewing local people. Hamilton County Historian Paul Wilbur talked with the students and provided pictures and slides.Additional information and pictures can be obtained from the Historian Office at the Lake Pleasant Court House.
Long Lake Central School, with the support of families and communities, will provide a safe and challenging environment which will enable students to achieve academic success and realize their full potential as creative and responsible citizens in the Adirondacks and the wider world.
