Gregorio Luperon High School aims to nurture, challenge and prepare newly-arrived English Language Learner high school students to achieve high standards of scholarship and leadership in both Spanish-and English speaking society. The Columbia Secondary School for Math, Science, & Engineering is a new, public, sixth through twelfth grade school that opened in the fall of 2007. A partnership between the New York City Department of Education, the community, and Columbia University, CSS-MSE serves academically talented students who have an interest in a rigorous and demanding program focusing on math, science, and engineering.Beginning with a founding sixth grade class, the school will add one grade per year until it reaches its full enrollment of 650 students. Currently the school is composed of 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th grades.

WAPPINGERS CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT

The Wappingers Central School District is one of the largest central school district in New York State, with an enrollment of over 12,000 students. There are ten elementary schools: six K-5, one K-3, one 4-6 and two K-6; two junior high schools: one 6-8 and one 7-8; two 9-12 senior high schools; and one alternative high school. Central administrative offices are housed at 167 Myers Corners Road in Wappingers Falls. The District covers 120 square miles. Major roadways which go through the District are the Taconic State Parkway, Interstate 84 and Route 9. Stewart International Airport and access to the NYS Thruway are close by. Vassar College, Marist College and Dutchess Community College are located in nearby Poughkeepsie. Other area colleges include Bard, Mt. St. Mary, Western Connecticut State, the State University College at New Paltz and the Culinary Institute of America. A large percentage of the residents of our suburban community are college graduates engaged in professional careers. New York City is within commuting distance by car or train.

The Newburgh Enlarged City School district is located at "The Crossroads of the Northeast," an area on the west bank of the Hudson River 60 miles north of New York City and 80 miles south of Albany. The school district serves students from four neighboring municipalities: the City of Newburgh, the Town of Newburgh, New Windsor, and a small portion of Cornwall. One elementary schools (with Pre-K program), One K-8 school, one middle school, and the high school are in the City of Newburgh.
