With over 200 square miles of beautiful East Texas countryside and several municipalities, our great district serves close to 3,000 students. With “Excellence as Our Standard”, you will find the Brownsboro –Chandler area a great place to live and raise a family. Cross Roads ISD is a 1-A school district with approximately 600 students enrolled in three campuses serving Pre-Kindergarten through grade twelve. Our Accountability Rating is Academically Recognized. Cross Roads ISD’s ethnic composition is 92.9% white, 5.3% Hispanic and 1.8% African American. Cross Roads is a small rural community where cattle production is the main industry. We are located at the juncture of FM 59 and FM 3441 in southwest Henderson County. The district covers 113.2 square miles. Cross Roads is located 12 miles southwest of Athens and 9 miles south of Malakoff.

The mission of the LaPoynor Independent School District is to provide a quality education and establish an educational foundation for all students, preparing them to function effectively, productively, and socially in an ever-changing society. LaPoynor ISD will provide a positive, supportive, and safe environment in which all students will acquire the necessary skills to become life long learners.

Malakoff is a 2A TEA Recognized school district located in east Texas between Corsicana and Athens on Highway 31. We have approximately 1250 students. The district is working hard to provide all students with learning opportunities that ensure their success after they graduate. Students at Malakoff High School will have the opportunity to take 33 college hour credits. In short, the staff of Malakoff Independent School District is committed to providing all students with an educational opportunity that will give them the tools needed to compete in any field they choose to pursue.

Murchison is a public, no tuition/no transfer fee school that is almost like a private school. Our classes are small and our students feel they are important. Our teachers are experienced and know how to provide individual instruction for their students. Our values are conservative and we welcome parent involvment.
