LA JOYA ISD
The La Joya Independent School District, located in the western portion of Hidalgo County consist of more than 226 square miles stretching west of Mission to Sullivan City, including the smaller communities of La Joya, Palmview and Peñitas. Boundaries extend from the United States border formed by the Rio Grande River to the 13 mile line near McCook. La Joya ISD will create a nurturing environment that encourages every student to reach their highest potential. MISSION STATEMENT: The mission of LA VILLA ISD, in collaboration with the home and community, is to develop the cognitive, personal/social/emotional and physical aspects of all learners through a comprehensive educational program which prepares them to be productive members of the community and society. MIDVALLEY ACADEMY CHARTER DISTRICT
The mission of the charter district is to teach students to become respectable, responsible citizens who value their self-worth, respect others and realize the importance of hard work and the continuation of learning throughout their lives. The vision of the charter district is to offer educational programs in a community-based, non-traditional setting in which teachers are free to be creative and innovative and students are free to explore their full potential. MISSION CISD
Mission CISD consists of roughly 41 square miles tucked along the Texas/Mexico border in the Lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas. We serve almost 16,000 students in the City of Mission and the neighboring communities of Alton and Palmhurst. The district employs about 2,200 people. PHARR-SAN JUAN-ALAMO ISD
Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Independent School District has rapidly become a state and national leader in creating more academic opportunities for all students. As a tri-city public school district offering a pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade curriculum, PSJA caters to a 32,000 student body and is focused on graduating all students College Ready, College Connected and College Complete. PSJA ISD has been a model for dropout prevention strategies and working to connect all students to College. With a High School Completion Rate of almost 97 percent, PSJA ISD is leading the region, state and nation in the percent of students graduating from High School. PSJA also has a very successful early College program, with four High Schools designated as Early College and approximately 1,700 High School students enrolled in College courses this fall through dual and concurrent enrollment programs. Some of PSJA’s most successful programs such as the Dual Language Program, Early College Initiative and Dropout Recovery Program have been highlighted for effectively closing the gap to post-secondary education. REG 1 EDUCATION SERVICE CENTER
The Region One Education Service Center is part of a state-wide system of 20 regional education service centers created by the 59th Texas Legislature to assist school districts across the state. Originally slated to work with school districts as a media center, the role of the education service center has expanded to work alongside school districts to carry out the three main objectives as stipulated in the TEC §8.002: to assist school districts in improving student performance in each region of the system; enable school districts to operate more efficiently and economically; and implement initiatives assigned by the legislature of commissioner. Located in South Texas on the United States/Mexico border, Region One ESC serves 37 school districts and 9 charter school systems in the seven county areas of Cameron County, Hidalgo County, Jim Hogg County, Starr County, Webb County, Willacy County, and Zapata County. Sharyland ISD is one of the fastest-growing school districts in South Texas. It is located at the southern tip of Texas and serves Mission, McAllen, Edinburg, Alton, and Palmhurst communities. With this concept of education in mind, STET assumes the responsibility for providing a well-organized, flexible and varied program of classroom and out-of-classroom activities. SOUTH TEXAS ISD
South Texas Independent School District (STISD) serves junior high and high school students who live along the southernmost tip of Texas, the region known as the Rio Grande Valley. The district stretches over three counties, Cameron, Hidalgo and Willacy, and overlaps 28 other school districts, an area of 3,643 miles. The district is comprised of five magnet schools. The only all-magnet school district in the state, STISD offers Valley students with an educational alternative. STISD schools provide a personal environment, a strong scholastic program and hands-on training in various professional career fields. Because it is a public school district, there is no cost for students to attend, and bus transportation is also free of charge. Best of all, STISD schools maintain an open enrollment policy, meaning any student with the desire to learn and work hard can attend so long as he or she resides within the tri-county area. All schools are accredited by the Texas Education Agency and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Over 95 percent of STISD graduates continue their education at major universities or technical colleges.

VALLEY VIEW ISD
Valley View Independent School District is a division 4a school located in Hidalgo/Pharr Texas area and is dedicated to the education and well being of the students. A growing community of approximately ten square miles, support the district by actively participating in the education of the students. The Mission of Valley View I.S.D. is to produce responsible and productive citizens who are capable of thinking critically to solve problems in an ever changing world by providing a system of quality education based on appropriate curriculum, effective instruction and community and family support.
