In addition to Forsan, the district serves the community of Elbow and rural areas in southeastern Howard County. Forsan's first school opened in 1928. The Elbow Common School District consolidated with Forsan in 1960. The district serves close to 700 students with the secondary campus TEA Recognized and elementary campus Exemplary. Forsan ISD is a proud community of lifelong learners. We have experienced a great deal of success in academics as well as extra-curricular activities. Our challenge to our students and staff is “Dare to be Great.” Together we can reach that challenge.
