At Alabama Clinical Schools, we believe early intervention is extremely important to help sexually abusive youth achieve successful outcomes. Relapse prevention skills are developed to assist our clients with identifying abuse cycles as well as adapting to high risk situations with learned and practiced coping skills. The involvement of family members and/or an identified support system is another essential component of treatment. Therefore, transportation assistance is provided for family sessions.

Rushton School is a campus-based school serving young people, ages 12 to 18 years, who are experiencing emotional conflict. Located on the campus of Gateway’s Residential Program and licensed by the State of Alabama Department of Education, Rushton School meets the educational and emotional needs of children through a team-oriented treatment approach. Students are assigned therapists who work with the family and the child simultaneously during placement. Therapeutic recreation, counseling, field trips and group work are also included in daily treatment activities.
