WALKER COUNTY

The Walker County Public School System serves all of Walker County with the exception of the city of Jasper. There are 6 high schools, 6 elementary-jr. high schools (K-8), 2 middle schools (5-8), 2 elementary schools (K-6), 2 elementary schools (K-4), 1 center of technology, and 1 alternative school.

ENTERPRISE CITY

The Enterprise, Alabama City School System is comprised of one Early Education Center (Kindergarten), 6 elementary schools (Grades 1-6), 3 junior highs, and one high school. Student enrollment in the system exceeds 6200. The system employs more than 450 professionals and more than 250 support staff. The school system was the first in Alabama to be fully accredited by the State Department of Education and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Students in the system consistently score above state and national averages on nationally-normed tests.

The Jackson County School District covers a large, geographically diverse area in northeast Alabama. In a region noted for its beautiful terrain, the eighteen Jackson County schools may be found in the valleys and along the plateaus that define this area of the Southern Appalachians. Each school is unique as each developed to serve the needs of a unique community, but all schools are united in their desire to provide a quality program for the over 6,000 students served by the system.
MARSHALL COUNTY
