NHS provides students up to 36 hours for dual credit college classes in advanced academic studies. Normangee schools promote extra-curricular activities for all students. 90% of our high school and middle school students compete in activities outside the school day. Normangee HS boasts state championships or finalist in four different sporting events. Our band has doubled in size over the last three years and our FFA and FCCLA have elected regional and state officers. Oakwood I.S.D. is a 1A school district nestled in the woods of East Texas and just a few miles west of the Trinity River. I-45 is just 13 miles west of Oakwood, Texas.
