Central Lincoln County School System, Maine AOS #93, is located in mid-coast Maine and serves seven rural communities in central Lincoln County: Bremen, Bristol, Damariscotta, Jefferson, Newcastle, Nobleboro, and South Bristol. There are eight school boards, each comprised of three to seven elected members, and an AOS #93 board composed of seven members, one from each of the local boards. The AOS #93 Board employs the superintendent who oversees the operation of five Kindergarten through grade eight elementary schools and the tuitioning of all secondary school students. Central Lincoln County School System serves a total of about 1694 pupils in 2011-12, . The combined annual budgets of the five schools and the secondary tuition exceed $20 million.

Wiscasset Middle School held a very special assembly on May 8th, National Teacher Appreciation Day. The assembly was to announce that Mrs. Tricia Campbell had been chosen to be one of the 2012 Unum Maine Teachers' Hall of Fame "Starting 9." This is the seventh year that Unum and the Portland Sea Dogs have teamed up to highlight the great work Maine teachers do in the classroom everyday. They choose three primary, three middle school, and three high school teachers to be their Starting 9. Mrs. Campbell and the other eight teachers will be honored at the Sea Dogs' game on June 8th. They will receive a personalized Sea Dogs' uniform, six tickets to the game, a meal for them and their guests, a check for $500.00, and the opportunity to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
