MISSION STATEMENT: All students in the District are important and deserve the best possible education. We believe our purpose is to teach the essential academic skills and provide the experiences our students need in order to develop the ability to think logically and independently and to communicate effectively. Therefore, our students are thoughtfully assigned to classes in order to maximize their active and successful interaction with the appropriate learning task and at the appropriate level of difficulty. Student progress is systematically monitored and learning activities adjusted to meet the instructional needs of the learner. We believe the atmosphere for learning should be pleasant and conducive to our students who are cultivating useful work habits and developing essential skills. Our schools should maintain a cooperative, supportive environment in which our students are treated with respect and worth. It is our desire to emphasize academic excellence as well as the development of the social skills necessary to enhance the positive interaction between our students with their peers and faculty members. We are confident the course offerings and instruction we make available to our students best fit their needs. We believe we provide our students with the knowledge, skills, and competencies they need in order to be self-governing, self supporting, and contributing members of society.
